Match Made In Heaven for iPhone and iPad · Effective August 9, 2026

Match Made In Heaven has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to me. I never see your data, and there is no server of mine for it to reach.

What stays on your device

The names, birth dates, birth times, and birthplaces you enter are used on your device to draw the two charts. The charts and the compatibility score are computed locally from astronomical tables shipped inside the app.

Your last five readings are saved on your device so you can reopen them. What is saved is the birth details a chart is built from — name, date, time, and the resolved UTC offset. Birthplace names are not saved. Nothing is backed up to any service of mine. You can delete any saved reading by swiping its row on the home screen, and deleting the app removes them all.

What leaves your device

Two things, both to Google, and only when you are entering a birthplace:

The birthplace text you type is sent to the Google Places API to show matching place suggestions.
The coordinates of the place you pick, and the birth date and time are sent to the Google Time Zone API to determine the UTC offset that was actually in effect there on that date — including historical daylight saving rules.

These requests carry no name and no identifier of you or your device beyond what any network request necessarily reveals, and they are not sent for readings you reopen from the home screen. Google's handling of these requests is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

What the app does not do

No accounts, sign-in, or user profiles.
No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking.
No advertising and no third-party tracking in this version of the app.
No access to your contacts, photos, location, calendar, or microphone.
No data is sold, rented, or shared with anyone for any purpose.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and knowingly collects no information from anyone. Because there is no account and nothing is transmitted to me, there is no personal data of a child for me to hold or delete.

Your choices

Because nothing leaves your device except the birthplace lookups described above, there is no account to close and no data of yours for me to erase. Deleting the app removes every reading it saved. If you would rather no birthplace text be sent at all, you can decline to enter a birthplace — though the app needs one to determine a time zone, and the chart cannot be calculated without it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
